Game Over Ölgemälde

Game Over Oil Painting

On the oil painting "Game Over" two protagonists, an older man and a younger woman, can be seen in frontal view. The artist has placed her behind a table on which the cutout of a monopoly play can be seen. While the man supports his head with his hand and looks at the game almost bored, the woman who has just rolled looks most strained. She reaches for her token, which stands in front of a "question mark" field. In the background of the two protagonists are oversized beams. They are in dark colors and seem almost threatening. The same bars, only much smaller, can be found lying on the table in front of the older man. Is this about his money? Does he know that he is superior to his teammate? And how many players are there? Ultimately, it seems he knows he would win. He is bored because he knows that the rich eventually become richer and the poor get poorer. The artist questions this legitimacy in our capitalist society in threatening colors. Genre: Environmental Critical Painting / Sociocritical Painting Technique: oil paints on canvas Style: Realism / Impressionism

Game Over Peinture à l'huile

Game Over Oil Painting

Game Over Oil Painting
