Ice Oil Painting
On the oil painting "Ice", the viewer can see the front of a tropical palm island. Immediately, however, it is noticeable that the island has disproportionately little land and also the sea appears unusually rough. If the view wanders further into the center of the picture, a small, equally flooded island can be seen in the distance. She seems to be aborted. But why? In the background, the viewer then reveals the solution: From the back left, a gigantic block of ice slides into the sea. Its edges seem to melt, chunks fall into the sea and cause the floods of these beautiful islands.
One of the questions that immediately arises when you look at it is: where are the people in this picture? Have you left these beautiful islands, well suspecting what is going to happen? Maybe they were looking for a safer place. But who knows which way the ice block will take. Maybe he will be with us soon? At this point, the artist draws attention drastically to the melting of the poles and the influence of this phenomenon on us. It's time to act!

It does not matter if the sea level rises a few feet. After all, there are other destinations than the Maldives ... With this oil painting on canvas I want to show the melting glaciers on the poles and the threatened islands in one work. It's about the rise of the sea level and it's all something for us!
Ice
